Nicoli is the defending WAR Invitational champion and a secret challenger in the World Championship in the tournament mode. Not much is known about Nicoli, but it can be deduced that Nicoli is of eastern European descent. Nicoli's image invokes feelings of darkness and mystery. Presumably Nicoli's characterization is influenced by Vlad the Impaler or some other dark Eurasian royalty. Nicoli is the most powerful challenger and the strongest contender for the World Championship. Nicoli's preferred HARs are the secretive Shadow and the massive Nova.

Nicoli is the defending WAR Invitational champion, being the commandeer of a Shadow HAR for this tournament. Nicoli has a high endurance and agility stat but lacks when it comes to power. Nicoli has rather high defense as well as offense stat, meaning that Nicoli will bide for time when possible but will attack with full force when the opening presents itself. The Shadow HAR has the first upgrade, therefore its shadows hit at a faster speed, making them difficult to dodge. Defeating Nicoli using a Shadow grants the player the same upgrade.

Nicoli is a hidden challenger in the World Championship, challenging the player after the defeat of Ian Tavares on Heavy Metal difficulty. Nicoli prefers the Nova over Shadow for this tournament. Nicoli has the highest stats for any tournament opponent. Defeating Nicoli grants the player the second hidden upgrades for all HARs (Jaguar's triple concussion cannon, Electra's triple electric balls, etc).
